Shortly after its purchase of the 617 Eastlake property, Blume Company Real Estate secured another South Lake Union site – 1100 Eastlake.  Acquired in 1989, Blume bought the land prior to Fred Hutch’s announcement of its plans for a neighboring campus.

Blume leased the existing building for several years.  By the close of 2008, it had redeveloped the site with a 177,056 square foot life sciences and office building along the Eastlake corridor. In 2010, Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center purchased 1100 Eastlake to expand their burgeoning campus.

The building is multi-functional, serving as both research laboratory and office space.  In 2012, it received the NAIOP Technology/Life Sciences Development of the Year Award.
